Job Title: Chief Operating Officer / Director of Membership & Events
Position Summary:
The Pride Chamber of Commerce is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to fill the role of Director of Membership & Events / Chief Operating Officer. This position will provide high-level administrative support to the President/CEO while also assisting with membership management and event coordination.
Reports To: President/CEO
Position Type: Full Time Flex Hours (30-40 hours/week), Live and Virtual, After Hour Events
Compensation:
- $ 50,000 to $55,000 Plus New Member Bonus per Month
- Paid bi-weekly
- Location: NEC, Greater Orlando, Remote/In-person as needed
Responsibilities:
1. Executive Support:
- Provide high-level administrative support to the President/CEO. Coordinate events, programs, committees and meetings as needed
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other materials for executive meetings and events.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reports.
2. Membership Management:
- Collaborate with the leadership team to support event setup, including venue coordination, catering arrangements, and logistical planning.
- Assist in managing member invoicing for dues and sponsorship opportunities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Serve as a point of contact for member inquiries, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues as needed.
- Maintain membership databases and ensure accurate record-keeping.
3. Event Coordination:
- Support the planning and execution of Pride Chamber events, including conferences, workshops, and networking events.
4. Marketing & Communications:
- Assist in drafting and distributing internal communications, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment on organizational goals and priorities.
- Support the development, creation, and distribution of engaging content across all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) to drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth.
5. Administrative Duties:
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by executive leadership.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in non-profit operations management preferred
- Strong communication, public speaking and organizational skills required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, GrowthZone and QuickBooks
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in event planning and membership management needed
- Familiarity with LGBTQ+ issues and/or chamber of commerce operations is desirable but not required.
Benefits:
- Flexible hours, requiring approximately 30-40 hybrid hours per week.
