AgeFWD Impact Network events are for professionals who serve LGBTQ+ older adults.

August 27, 2026 Topic: Affirming Healthcare

Hosted by The Pride Chamber’s AgeFWD team and presented in partnership with Hope and Help of Central Florida, this educational event will bring together healthcare professionals, community partners, and advocates for a conversation about creating safer, more respectful, and more inclusive healthcare experiences for LGBTQ+ people as they age.

Featured speakers Jenna Wimmer, APRN-C, of Hope & Help and Daniel M. Fisher, Ed.S., LMHC, QS, of Outlook Mental Health will examine how historical experiences, minority stress, social isolation, care avoidance, and other barriers can affect both physical and mental health. The discussion will also explore the importance of chosen family, inclusive clinical practices, coordinated care, and protecting the dignity and autonomy of LGBTQ+ older adults throughout the healthcare system.

This event is for any professional, company, or organization that serves or seeks to serve clients who are LGBTQ+ older adults.

The moderated discussion will include an audience Q&A and light refreshments. We hope to see you there!
